ADMINISTRATION BLOCK/PLANT OFFICE:
Administration Block / Plant office should be placed in North, South, East or West.
North-East, North-West, South-East, South-West and Centre Zone should be avoided.
RAW MATERIAL AREA:
It is better to place raw materials in South West corner of the premises.
Spare parts stores should not be provided in north-west, centre & south-east Zones.
FINISHED PRODUCT AREA:
Finished product should be placed in the South, South-West, North, North-West zone.
It is better to place finished products in the North West corner of the premises.
Avoid North-East & Center.
TRANSFORMER, BOILER & GENERATOR:
Best place for Transformer, Boiler & Generator should be in the South East zone.
A.C. panels, heater, dryer, oven, furnace etc. can also be installed in north-west & east zones.
Strictly prohibited areas are North-East, Centre, South-West zones.
PLANT & MACHINERIES:
Heavy plant and main machines should be installed in south-west, south & west Zones.
Machines having (liberating) heat should be placed in the South East area.
Light weight and auxillary machines should be installed in north & east zones.
North-east and centre zones should be avoided for machinery installation.
LABOUR ROOMS:
Labour rest rooms should be given on north & east zones.
Toilets or fire / power installations should not be provided in north-east, Centre & south-west zones.
