Norms for Commercial Interiors

Interiors of an office includes its

RECEPTION
Receptionist should face East direction.
Visitors should face South or West direction.

MASTER CABIN
Master Cabin should be in the South West corner of the Premises.
Senior's Cabin should be in West or South area.
While Working the person should face East or North direction .
Visitors should face South or West direction.

GENERAL STAFF
Staff should sit in the North, Center, East and North-East area of the office premises.
The South-West zone should be avoided.
Staff should preferably face East direction or may face North direction.

ACCOUNTS/COMPUTERS
Accounts and computer should be in the North, East and South-East area of the office.
Center and South-West zone should be avoided for this purpose.
The sales counter will always face the road or the entry for small shops, such as grocery etc.
The cash counter for bigger shops & Stores should be in North or Northeast zone.

DOORS/SHAPE:
The shape (Geometry) of any cabin should be regular, i.e., square or perfect Rectangle.
South or West facing shops should avoid having entry from southwest corner.
There should not be any obstacle (dvar-vedh) in front of any door opening.
The door leaves should be pushed inside while entering into a cabin.
Avoid sloping roof.
Levels should be kept so that south side is always higher than north.

PLACE OF WORSHIP
Northeast the ISHAAN zone is good for worshipping and should always be kept clean and less loaded.
If not possible keep the idol or objects such that while worshipping we are facing east or north.

GOODS
The process flow that is from godown to dispatch area should be in clockwise direction.
It can also be from north to south or east to west.
All dispatches should be done from Northwest zone.
All surplus stores should be in South or Southwest side.
Pantry and toilets should not be in north-east, centre & south-west zones.
